Cape Town plays host from Wednesday 30th November to Wednesday 7th December. A total of some 96 boys and 96 girls plus coaches, officials and whoever will descend on the South African city noted as the most popular holiday destination not only in the country but in the whole of the continent. Venue for the tournament is the Grand West Casino and Entertainment World. 

Table Tennis Canada sent two teams to this event, the boys team will be ranked 15th, while the girls team is on the 14th spot. Jeremy Hazin will be the highest ranked Canadian player on seed 50.

The boys will be facing South Africa and Italy in their group, the girls will be playing South Africa and Spain. The competition starts on November 30th 2017.
